Install & Debug

Development

  1. Run pnpm install at repo root
  2. Run pnpm --filter @aiseotools/chrome dev to generate build/chrome-mv3-dev
  3. Open chrome://extensions, enable Developer mode, Load unpacked, select apps/chrome/build/chrome-mv3-dev

Local Install

  1. Run pnpm --filter @aiseotools/chrome build to generate build/chrome-mv3-prod
  2. Open chrome://extensions, enable Developer mode, Load unpacked, select build/chrome-mv3-prod
  3. Select text on any page to verify floating icon and menu

Permissions & Privacy

  • Uses storage to persist preferences only (language, menu position, favorites); does not read or store page content
  • Injects a minimal content script to show a floating icon and menu on text selection; no background scraping or data collection
  • All actions are user-initiated; the extension only opens selected external tools with the highlighted text
  • Scope and site access are fully controllable in Chrome settings
