spend elon fortune netlify app

Overview

The official site is branded Spend Elon Musk's Money: a free browser mini-game built around a simulated fortune of approximately $1,005,000,000,000. Players browse a long catalog of purchasable ideas, decide what to buy, watch the remaining balance change, and review the result on a generated receipt.

Key Features

• A starting-balance banner shows the available fortune, the remaining amount, and the percentage spent.
• Product cards combine an image, item name, USD price, quantity, and Buy/Sell controls.
• The catalog spans everyday technology and entertainment items such as AirPods Pro, consoles, phones, and computers, then expands into startups, franchises, vehicles, property, travel, sports teams, a satellite launch, and other large-scale purchases.
• The game tracks each quantity and updates the total as purchases are added or removed.
• A receipt section lists every selected item, its quantity and line price, the total, a rounded million-USD view, the percentage of the fortune spent, and a Print Receipt button.

How It Works

1. Open the game and start with the displayed simulated balance.
2. Choose any catalog card and press Buy to add an item; use Sell to reduce its quantity.
3. Continue comparing small and large purchases while the remaining balance and spent percentage update at the top.
4. Scroll to the receipt to review the shopping list and total, then print the receipt if desired.

Use Cases

• Casual players who want a quick, humorous “what would you buy?” spending challenge.
• Users comparing the scale of personal products with businesses, property, teams, or other high-value choices.
• Classroom or discussion prompts about large numbers, opportunity cost, and how a running balance changes through repeated purchases.

Pricing and Availability

The official privacy page describes the mini-game as free to play, with no registration or personal-data input required. It also states that the site does not use cookies or persistent storage to track visitors; the page separately mentions Google AdSense. The game runs in a web browser.
