Driveandlisten Herokuapp Com

Driveandlisten Herokuapp Com is a browser-based ambient experience that lets visitors take a virtual drive through cities around the world while listening to live local FM radio. Originally launched at driveandlisten.herokuapp.com and now hosted at its permanent home driveandlisten.app, the project has been delighting remote workers, travelers, language learners, and fans of chill background video for years. The current site carries a 4.9 star rating from more than twelve thousand users, a testament to its appeal and the calm, focused atmosphere it creates.

The experience is straightforward and beautifully minimal. Visitors land on a single screen with a large first-person video of a city street, a city picker, a volume control, and a play/pause button. Picking a new city instantly swaps both the video and the radio stream, so the visuals and the audio stay in sync with the destination. The library covers more than 100 cities across every continent, including Tokyo, Paris, New York, London, Istanbul, Berlin, Buenos Aires, Bangkok, and many more — each paired with the local station that best matches the feel of the place.

The site is built as a single-page React app and runs in any modern browser on desktop, tablet, and mobile. There is no install, no account, and no sign-in. The interface adapts to portrait and landscape orientations, so users can prop up a phone on their desk, open a second monitor, or cast to a TV for a more cinematic effect. Audio streams are tuned for low-latency playback, and the video feeds are stabilized to avoid motion sickness during long sessions.

Driveandlisten Herokuapp Com is widely used as a focus and relaxation tool. Writers, students, and developers keep the page open in a corner while they work, replacing generic lo-fi playlists with the layered ambient sound of a real city. Long-distance drivers use it to scout a route before a trip, while armchair travelers use it to revisit a place they once lived. The site is also popular among language learners who want to practice listening comprehension against the cadence of native radio hosts and street noise.

The author, Erkam Şeker, has kept the project free, ad-light, and openly documented. The move from driveandlisten.herokuapp.com to driveandlisten.app simply gave the project a stable long-term home; the core experience remains the same. Driveandlisten Herokuapp Com is, in effect, a window seat on the world — pick a city, press play, and let the world drive by.
